FORDYCE---Arnold F. Becker, 98, died Sept. 16, 1997, at Sister James Nursing Home, Yankton, S.D.

Visitation was Sept. 18 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. A vigil was held later that evening at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Helena.

Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Helena.

Pallbearers were Jeff Haberman, Kenneth Sudbeck, Gary Becker, Rodney Boeckman, Roland Becker and Bradley Klug.

Mr. Becker was born April 9, 1899, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Klug) Becker, in St. Helena.

He married Dorathea Agnes Mackey Nov. 21, 1955, at Cass Lake, Minn.

He farmed in the St. Helena area all of his life.

Arnold was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Helena, and a lifetime member of the League of Sacred Heart.

Survivors include his wife, Dorathea Becker, Fordyce; two brothers, Edgar Becker, Hartington; and Alphonse Becker, Albany, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents: five brothers, Arthur, Frederick, Raymond, Joseph and Gilbert Becker; and three sisters, Elsie Bonertz, Lucina Schulte and Laura Sudbeck.
