Arne Boe Olson was born September 4th, 1857, in Vik i Sogn, Norway, to Ole Olson Bo and Anna Ellingsdater Bo, Arne emigrated to America in 1882 and settled in Kingsbury County of South Dakota. He married Jensena Louise Stenson on November 26th, 1885. For the next two years he worked on various farms until 1887 when they moved to a farm homesteaded by Eddy Olson Boe. Arne purchased the quarter of land from Eddy on April 5th, 1888. Arne & Louise farmed and raised 13 children on the land that is, to this day owned and operated by descendants of Arne & Louise. Upon retirement they moved into Lake Preston, South Dakota. Arne passed away on March 15th, 1946.
