Mrs. Sharp was born in Caryville and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of Fraterville Baptist Church.
Her parents were the late Arlie and Lizzie Harmon Hawkins. Mrs. Sharp’s husband was the late Walter L. Sharp. Two sons, Buford and Junior Lee Sharp, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughters, Margaret Davis of Tonkawa, Okla.; Evelyn Austin and Anna Low Bray, both of Lake City; sons, Vestal and Roy Sharp, both of Briceville; and Richard Sharp of Lake City; James Verlin Sharp of Caryville; 33 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday in the chapel of Martin Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. Burial was in Circle Cemetery.
