Mary Ophelia Pryer, 71, died Sunday Sept. 27, 1987, at St. Marys Hospital in Blue Springs, Mo.
Mrs. Pryer was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Callaway County, the daughter of Robert W. and Bessie Mae Matteson.
She was married to Freeman Pryer who preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son Freeman Jr., a daughter, Lanetta Whitteck, and a grandson, John Whitteck, all of Independence, Mo.; brothers, Henry Matteson of New Bloomfield, Robert Lee and Elvin Matteson, both of Fulton. Charles Eugene Matteson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Harold Matteson of Jefferson City; sisters, Dorothy Opperman of Independence, Myrtle Autenrieth of Jefferson City, Bonnie Holt of Shell Knob, Mo.
A sister, Gertrude Shoaf, also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 30, 1987, at the Ott Mitchell Funeral Home in Independence. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Independence.
