MATTESON
Harold G. Matteson, 61, Jefferson City, died Thursday.
He was born May 6, 1929, the son of Robert W. and Bessie Mae McCall Matteson. He was married Aug. 6, 1988, in Jefferson City, to Joyce Grogan, who survives at the home.
He was a member of the Eastern Star and the Masonic Lodge in Kentucky and he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by United Telephone until his retirement in 1984.
Other survivors include: one son, Harold Glenn Matteson, Jr., Bear, Del.; one stepson, Michael Bruce, Jefferson City; one daughter, Terri Glenn Grimes, Bradenton, Fla; three brothers, Henry Matteson, New Bloomfield, Robert Lee Matteson and Evin Matteson, both of Fulton; three sisters, Dorothy Opperman, California, Myrtle Autenrieth, Jefferson City, and Bonnie Holt, Cassville; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dulle Chapel with the Rev. John Rollins officiating. Burial will be in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kidney Foundation or the Hospice of Jefferson City.
