Henry Eckroat(Eckrode) was born in 1831. At the death of his parents Henry was a minor under 21. On August 1847 his uncle John Eckroat, was appointed as his guardian (Book B, page 221, LDS #892403) and continued as his guardian until 1st Aug. 1853 when a new set of guardians Daniel urshal, Cousin John Eckrode, Jr. , and brother-in-law Ambrose Biddle were appinted (LDS #875609, Book A, page 285) Apparently John Eckrode, Sr. had himself become incompacitated at this time. Although in Feb. 1854, Henry had reached his majority, aged 23, he still required a guardian: Daniel Urshal was to revice his inheritance from his sister's estate. (Second account of Tobias B. Kindig, Guardian for Margret Eckrode. In the 1850 Census Henry aged 19 was living with his uncle and guardian John Eckrode, Sr. There are indications that Henry required a guardian all his life. There is no evidence that Henry ever married or had children. He died in 1908 and was buried beside his mother and father in Row 5 of Saint Clement's Catholic Cemetery, Navarre, Bethlehem Township, Stark County, Ohio. His cousin, William Biddle brn. 1856, died 1939 was buried beside Henry. William was appointed as Henry's Guardian later (Book L, page 97)
