NOAH WILLIAM SAWYER

Funeral arrangements had not been completed, as this newspaper went to press yesterday, for Noah W. Sawyer, 79 former Cass County Representative and Supt. of Schools, who collapsed and died at the State Capital Thursday morning.

It was indicated, however, that services will be held early next week. The Thomas Funeral Service, Walker, will be in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sawyer was employed as assistant sergeant-at-arm in the legislative. He had been in failing health for some time. Word forwarded by state officials to this newspaper, yesterday, was to the effect that legislators and others, who had known him for many years, were accumulating a memorial to him.

A complete account will appear next week.
