Sarah Myrtle Sawyer was born near Urbana, Iowa, November 6, 1891, and passed away at Presbyterian hospital, Waterloo, May 15, 1921, at the age of 29 years, 6 months, 9 days.

January 15, 1912, she was united in marriage to Jacob B. Langland, who survives to mourn the passing of a faithful, loving wife. There are four little children left motherless; Virginia, Lavonne, Margaret and Donald.

Eight brothers and two sisters are left: Royal Sawyer, Noah Sawyer, Gene Sawyer and Edwin Sawyer, all of Hackensack, Minnesota; Mrs. May Nabholz, Moosiman, Canada; Ray Sawyer , Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Mrs. Anna Erbb, Waterloo, Alva Sawyer, Urbana, Ross Sawyer, Louisville, Kentucky, and Fred Sawyer, Minneapolis. One sister, Mrs. Etta McCormick, Preceded her in death nearly three years ago.

The deceased lived in and near Urbana all her live until her marriage, when she moved on a farm near Dysart. Tha family home has ben in that vicinity ever since. She taught school for a number of years near Urbana and for a timer near Dysart.
