Leroy S. Record, 74, of El Paso, Texas and Saco, died August 6, 2002 at Sierra Medical Center in Texas after a lenghtly illness.
He was born in Biddeford on June 4, 1928, a son of Wallace R. and Minnie A. (Carle) Record Sr. and was a graduate of Biddeford High School and Gray's Business College.
Mr. Record worked for a period of time as an exhibition dancer for the Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Dayton, Ohio, then at the New York Post and for the Music Guild of Newark, New Jersey. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Los Angeles, Calif. after 27 years of service.
A fine pianist himself, Mr. Record was a lover of Big Band and jazz music.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, and brothers Clayton, Arthur, and Wallace Jr.; sisters Mildred Danis, Hazel Rogers and Lorene Harmon. He is survived by brothers Earle of Biddeford, Donald of Napa, Calif., Herbert of Old Orchard Beach, and Paul of North Waterboro; and sisters Gladys Pate-Simpson and Arlene Coburn of Saco, June Michel of Fort Worth, Texas, and Doris Kemp of Dayton, Ohio and his wife, Patricia Wormwood Record of Dayton, Ohio.
