DORIS HELENE RECORD - died in Marysville, OH on February 7, 2019 at the age of 96.. She was born in Biddeford, ME, the daughter of Wallace Ronella Record Sr. and Minnie Albert (Carle) Record December 19, 1922. She was educated in the Biddeford school system and graduated from Biddeford High School. After School , she worked in the local Woolworth department store on the soda fountain. she then worked in a Saco drug store before leaving for Atlanta, GA to visit friends. She met a serviceman , Weir Lee Adkins, whom she fell in love with. After his discharge from the service, they moved to Dayton, OH where they married and set up housekeeping. She started working at the old Sunshine Biscuit Co. until 1996 when the company was sold to Keebler Co. who moved the products out of state. She then worked at a mail order drug company called Dayton Economy until her retirement. During those years she had a son, Weir Lee Adkins Jr. and three years later a daughter Bernice Adkins. She lived in Dayton, OH until 4 years ago when she moved to Marysville, OH to be near her daughter and grand daughter. After a couple of years in her own apartment, she moved in with her grand daughter until her passing. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and her son in 2012 and daughter in 2017and seven brothers; Clayton, Arthur, Wallace Jr., Earle, Donald, Herbert, and Leroy: six sisters; Mildred Danis, Gladys Pate-Simpson, Hazel Rogers, Arlene Coburn, June Michel and Lorene Harmon. . She is survived by her grand daughter and husband Jeff and Dina Johnson of Marysville, OH Grand Daughter and husband Rick and Crystal Martin of Dayton, OH, Grandson Greg Neff of OH; three great grandsons; Brody Martin, Tanner Martin, Jordan Johnson and two great granddaughters; Cameron Johnson and Elizabeth Martin and a brother Paul Record of N. Waterboro, ME. There will be no funeral at her request. She had chosen to donate her body to Medical Science at Wright State University, Dayton, OH.
