Basil Harter, 52, was dead on arrival at St. Joseph Hospital Tuesday. He had a heart attack while visiting at 2132 Thompson Ave. A native of Whitley County, he lived on R. 1, Lima Road. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors are the widow, Esther; a son, Charles, Auburn; a daughter, Janice at home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Harter, Fort Wayne; 5 brothers, Jesse, Clifford, Ernest, Robert and Ross, Fort Wayne; 3 sisters, Mrs. Goldie Keener, Mrs. Blanche York, and Mrs. Eleanor Zollinger, Fort Wayne; and one grandchild. Funeral Friday in Klaehn Funeral Home. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. 8-28-1956
