CORA SLAUGH COOK FUNERAL SET TODAY IN UINTAH STAKE CENTER
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) in the Uintah Stake Center at 11 a.m. for Cora Eliza Slaugh Cook, 72, of Vernal who died Monday evening in the Uintah County Hospital following an illness. The services will be conducted by the Davis Ward Bishopric.
Mrs. Cook was born April 12, 1897 in Vernal to Benjamin C. and Rachel Smuin Slaugh. She married Harold Albert Cook November 19, 1917 in Vernal. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Survivors include her husband; sons and daughters, Clifton A., Glen H., Glade B., Shirley D., Dall G., Ned G., Mrs. Cecil (Bulla) Pummell, Mrs. Dave (Raie) Clark, Mrs. Garn (Virgie) Swain, Mrs. Ray (DeVona) Irwin, all of Vernal; Mrs. Jim (Onie) Byrd, Libbie, Montana ; Mrs. Don (Nadean) Carpenter, Denver; 47 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
Also, brothers and sisters, Ben, Charley, Hyrum and Lyle Slaugh, Iva Holmes, Rosa and Vynthia Cook and Kate Lopez, all of Vernal.
Friends may call at the Vernal Mortuary Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemtery.
