Funeral services for Grace Martin Ware, age 95, of Duck Hill, were held September 17, 2003 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Norris Corley officiating. Burial was held at New Hope Cemetery with Oliver funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Ware died on September 14, 2003 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Old Union Church of Christ in Carroll County.
Survivors include her daughter, Grace Ware Owens of Duck Hill; son, Claude L. Ware of Winona; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Ware was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Glenn Ware; daughter, Charlotte Ware Vance; and sons, Tillman Glenn Ware and Elbert Ware.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Ware, Tim Owens, Luther Owens, David Scarberry, Billy Joe Surrell and Bubba Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Milton Martin and Charles Martin.
