Mrs. Charlotte Ware Vance, 56, of Winona, died of cancer Friday, Feb. 7, 1997, at her residence in Winona.
Mrs. Vance was a retired manager of Dollar General Store in Winona. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Porter Ware.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Oliver Chapel with Mr. Jesse Walker officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery near Winona.
Mrs. Vance is survived by her husband, John Max Vance of Winona; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Surrell and Mrs. Judy Smith, both of Winona; her mother, Mrs. Grace Martin Ware of Winona; one sister, Mrs. Grace Owens of Duck Hill; two brothers, Elbert Ware and Claude Ware, both of Winona; and six grandchildren.
