Memorial services for Robbie Mae Carpenter, 73, of McCarley were conducted from Oliver Chapel Wednesday, July 23, 1986, at 10 a.m.

The Carroll County native died Sunday, July 20, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a member of McCarley Baptist Church.

Services were preached by Rev. Norris Corley, assisted by the Rev. Jimmy Guiles. Burial was Winona Gardens of Memory.

She is survived by her husband R.B. Carpenter of McCarley; daughters, Mrs. Barbara C. Doughtie of Mims, Fla. and Mrs. Joyce C. Gatlin of Greenwood, two sisters, Mrs. Porter Ware of Winona and Mrs. Clifton Williams of Mobile. Ala, a brother Milton A. Martin of Grenada, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Larry Martin, David Reeves, Sr., David Reeves, Jr., Darrell Gatlin. William Carver, and Charles Martin. Oliver Funeral Home handled arrangements.
