ALONZO McDANIEL
COMANCHE--Services for Alonzo "Lon" McDaniel, Jr., 94, of Sidney will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Comanche Funeral Home. Burial will be in Stag Creek Cemetery with Chuck Miller officiating.
Mr. McDaniel died at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday in a local nursing home. Born Jan. 24, 1885 in Sidney, he had lived there all of his life and was a retired farmer.
His wife Nancy Parsons, died Dec. 17, 1967.
Survivors include four sons, Russell McDaniel and Marion McDaniel both of Sidney, Beal McDaniel of Abilene and Calvin McDaniel of California; three daughters, Betty Davis of Arkansas, Ludene Michael of May and Imogene Pate of California; a sister, Dora Jones of Comanche; three brothers, Parker McDaniel of Gorman, Roy McDaniel of Sidney and Ernest of Rising Star; 24 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
The picture of Lon was given to me by his grandson, Fain McDaniel and I took the picture of his headstone.
