Son of William Alonzo "A. L." and Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Chambers) McDANIEL.

In 1913, he married Ora Emmer "Ode" CLAYTON. Together they had five children.∼OBITUARY OF CLAUDE L. McDANIEL

PREMONT -- Claude L. McDANIEL, 83, died yesterday in a local nursing home.

He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include a son, Jim McDANIEL of Premont; three daughters, Mrs. Mary JONES of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Mona ALFORD and Mrs. Clementine HERRING, both of Premont; four brothers, Ernest McDANIEL of Rising Star, Lon McDANIEL of Sidney, Parker McDANIEL of Gorman and Roy McDANIEL of Comanche; a sister, Mrs. Nora JONES of Comanche; seventeen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
