Louise Brunk

Louise Brunk, 88, of Springfield, died at 9:49 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at her home.

Louise was born on March 18, 1917 in Waverly, the daughter of James R. and Lula Kersey Harris. She married Franklin J. Brunk on April 6, 1942 in Marietta, GA; he preceded her in death on October 2, 2003.

Louise was a member of Woodside United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers: Randall, James, Wyman, Floyd and Willard Harris and one sister: Daisy Summers.

Surviving are one son: Michael J. Brunk of Urbana; two daughters: Patricia A. Kueper of Cahokia and Carole S. Griffith of Springfield; three grandchildren: Kelli Dodd, Stephanie Yencer-Price and Jeffrey (wife, Chrissy) Kueper; five great grandchildren: Victoria and Michael Price; Shelbi Dodd and Charlie and Carli Kueper; two brothers: Paul Harris of Springfield, Robert(wife, Nicole) Harris of Champaign; three sisters: Twyla (husband, Harvey) Walton of Virginia, Jean Gill of CA and Mildred Johnston of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Additional visitation will be held from 10 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2005 at Woodside United Methodist Church, 3159 Sheffield Rd., Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2005 at Woodside United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Poole officiating. Burial will follow in David Brunk Cemetery, near Springfield.
