Clara (Beide) Warden, 97, of Granite City died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 1991 at the Colonial Care Center in Granite City.
Mrs. Warden was born Dec. 7, 1893, in Mitchell and had been a lifelong resident of the Granite City area. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Survivors include three nieces, Julia Homola of Mitchell and Louise Hutchings and Lucille Branding, both of Granite City; and five nephews, Bob Beide, Al Hoelter, Ray Hoelter and Edmund Grolmes, all of Granite City and Joseph Grolmes of Louisville, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles N. Warden, who died in 1975, and her parents John and Frances Kappel Beide.
Visitation was held Tuesday at Werner Chapel for Funerals, Pontoon Beach. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2606 Washington Ave., Granite City, with the Rev. Bill Fisherkeller officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates near Edwardsville.
Masses to Holy Family Catholic Church are suggested as memorials.
