Casper Beide, 61, of 2405 Madison avenue, who was born at Mitchell and who had lived in Granite City the past 35 years, died of complications Tuesday in St. Elizabeth's hospital. He was employed as a guard at the Madison plant of the Laclede Steel company.
He is survived by three brothers, John and Arthur Beide of Granite City, and Joseph Beide of East s.t Louis, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hoelter, Mrs.. Catherine Grolmes, Mrs. Clara Warden and Mrs. Aganes Zimmer, all of Granite City.
His remains will lie in state at eh Mercer Funeral Home until 8:30 a.m. Saturday, December 23, and will then be taken to Sacred Heart Church where last rites will be conducted at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sunset Hills.
