MRS. MARY HOELTER, 78, SUCCUMBS SATURDAY

Mrs. Mary Theresa Hoelter, 78, of 2220 Lee avenue, a life long resident of the Quad-City area, died of a heart condition about 8:40 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she had been a patient about 15-hours. She had been under medical care for several years.

Mrs. Hoelter, who was preceded in death by her husband Casper, in 1949, was born in Mitchell, She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Altar Society there the the Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include three sons, Lawrence, Ray and Alvin Hoelter, all of Granite City; a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Lucille) Branding of Edwardsville; two brothers, John and Arthur Beide, both of Granite City; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Grolmes, Mrs. Agnes Zimmer and Mrs. Clara Warden, all of Granite City, 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, from Pieper Funeral Home, 1929 Cleveland blvd., to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 21st and State streets. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville. Rosary 8 p.m. today, Aug. 8, at Piepers Funeral Home Chapel.
