AGNES ZIMMER

Mrs. Agnes E. Zimmer, 86, of Granite City, ill for two years, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 1983, at Barnes Hospital , St. Louis where she was admitted six hours earlier.

She was born in Mitchell and was a lifelong resident of the Quad-City area. Mrs. Zimmer worked as a waitress many years ago at the former Pointer's and Simpson's Restaurant in Granite City.

Mrs. Zimmer was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and also had membership in the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).

Her husband, A. Frank Zimmer, died Feb. 8, 1976.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Julia) Homola, Mitchell; a sister, Mrs. Clara Warden, Granite City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Bob Thomas Memorial Mortuary, 2205 Pontoon Road, where prayer services will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Henry Schmidt will officiate at a 9:30 a.m. mass Wednesday, Feb. 16 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Johnson and Pontoon roads, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, Twp.
