Gertrude Lolene Gibson, 94, of Burlington, Iowa, died at Blair House, Burlington, Iowa, on Thursday, February 20, 2014.
Born on November 20, 1919 in Denmark, Iowa, she was the daughter of Henry C. and Maggie M. Walker Dean. She married Jack Gibson on January 22, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He died on December 9, 1961.
Gertrude was a nurse's aide at both Mercy and Klein Hospitals in Burlington. She was a very active member of the Riverside Baptist Church and sang in the choir.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, ten brothers and three sisters.
