Clifford R. DEAN Age 88, died December 1, 2005, in Shoreline, WA. He was born to Clay and Maggie Dean on January 27, 1917 in Danville, IA. Clifford served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, receiving the Victory medal. He spent his career as a commercial truck driver and enjoyed bowling, billiard, fishing and woodworking. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynnwood.
Clifford was an honest, caring, faithful, humorous and loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceding him in death were his brothers, Perl, Harold, Jesse, Clay and Grant Dean.
Clifford is survived his loving wife of 59 years, Bernice Dean of Shoreline; his sons, Larry Dean of Edmonds, WA, Allyn Dean of Lahaina, HI; his daughter Cheryl Layman of Carnation, WA; his sisters, Viola Hodge of Low Moor, IA, Gertrude Gibson of Burlington, IA, Jane Lehnert of Mediapolis, IA and 3 grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 5, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th SW, Lynnwood, WA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home, (425) 672-1800.
