Ellen M. Ludeman
Ellen M. Ludeman, 73, Laona, died May 11 at a Blackwell nursing home. The former Ellen Gilligan was born Oct. 8, 1911 in Suring. She had lived in Laona since 1927. She married Lester Ludeman June 20, 1934: He preceded her in death Sept., 1, 1976.
She was a member of St. Leonard Catholic Church, the Royal Neighbors, Christian Mothers, and St. Leonard's Ladies Group.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ted and Barbara, Laona, and Bob, Coleman; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Evelyn Kessler, Suring; and Betty Conley, Fond du lac; one brother, Jerry Gilligan, Iron River, Mich.
Mrs. Ludeman was preceded in death by her husband, one son (Anthony), two brothers (Bernard, Donald) and one sister (Leola).
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at St. Leonard Catholic Church, Laona. Christian Mothers service 6:30 p.m. tonight, followed by the parish vigil. Funeral Tuesday 10 a.m. at the church, with Rev. John Cerkas officiating. Burial in Laona Cemetery.
The Halverson-Suminski Funeral Home, Crandon, is in charge of arrangements.
