Grace L. (Anderson) Lockhart, 85, of Templeton RD1 (Boggs Twonship) died Friday, August 18, 2000 in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Twonship. She was born January 15, 1915 in Boggs Township to Incel and Martha Jane (Sanford) Anderson. Mrs. Lockhart was a homemaker. She was a member of Templeton Church of God, where she was active. She was the past treasurer of the Women's Christian Service Council. A lifelong resident of the area, she enjoyed traveling and gardening as her hobbies, and Chrysanthemums were her favorite flowers to grow. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Peggy) Baum of Templeton and Mrs. J. Frank (Joy) King of Kittannning; eight grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two brothers, James Anderson and Edward Anderson both of Templeton; and four sisters, Janetta Atherton and Elsie Slagle both of Templeton, and Hazel Reed and Mrs. Dale (Flossie) McKain, both of Kittanning. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred J. Lockhart, who died May 15, 1987; an infant daughter, Donna Mae Lockhart; four brothers, Eugene, Kenneth, Leroy and Clinton Anderson; and three sisters, Margaret, Dorrothy and Mary Alice Anderson. Funeral services will be held at the Templeton Church of God Monday, Aug. 21, 2000 with the pastor John W. Baum of Faith Cathedral, Rev. Gary Shew of Templeton Church of God and Rev. Richard Molgaard of Kittanning Church of God co-officiating. Burial will be in Mateer Cemetery. Arrangements by Kennedy Blodgett. Leader Times 8/19/2000
