Elizabeth Marie Jeske, 94, passed away on November 5, 2015 in Fort Collins, CO. Elizabeth was born in Suring, WI on June 21, 1921 to the late William and Caroline (Huberty) Knuijt. Elizabeth attended Appleton High School. In 1941 she married Robert Hantschel, and they had five children. Following Robert's death, Elizabeth raised their children on her own. She later married Malcolm Jeske and welcomed Malcolm's daughter into their family. Elizabeth worked for the federal government for almost 30 years. Upon retiring she managed the gift shop at St. Elizabeth Hospital (Appleton) for several years. Eventually she moved to Fort Collins, CO. Throughout her adult life, Elizabeth's greatest pride was her children. Elizabeth is survived by her five daughters: Cynthia (Thomas) Power; Judith "Penny" (Calvert) Iles; Cheryl (Gary) Perry; Kristine (Charles) Hoernke; and Janet (Charles) Kading; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather Charles Bender; her two husbands; one son: Stephen Hantschel; five brothers; and one sister. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at St. James the Apostle Church, in Glen Ellyn, IL. Burial will be at Appleton Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Appleton, WI.
