Anna was born to George W. Albright and Charlotte Endicott Rogers in Philadelphia.

Anna'a mother Charlotte had an early involvement with the Salvation Army. Charlotte and her daughters were among the first to greet the Salvationists from England with Commissioner Railton. Anna and her older sister, Amelia, became involved with the Salvation Army in Philadelphia, which was at its earliest beginnings in the United States. Anna and her sister are thought to be the first two American–born Army officers.

At age 25, in 1882, Anna met and married Thomas W. Danby, an immigrant from Ireland, who arrived in the US with his parents and family in 1871.

Anna and Thomas had four surviving children.

1. Clifford James Danby, born Mar. 7, 1883 in East Orange, New Jersey; d. 1962 in Philadelphia; not married.

2. Ann Carol Danby, b. 1892; d. 1958; m1. Rev. Edward Arthur Northrop in 1912. They had six children; Edward Danby Northrop (1913–1977), Alfred C. Northrop (1915–2002), Henry Harris Northrop (1917–1998), Eugene A. Northrop (1919–2013), Priscilla Carol Northrop (1920–1992), Charles Franklin Northrop (1923–2006); m2. Harold Seal on Sep. 24, 1937; no additional children.

3. Amelia "Aimee" Danby, triplet, b. Nov. 24, 1895 in Newark, New Jersey. She was a hotel clerk in Mt. Vernon, New York, living with her mother and father. Amelia married Alfred Henner at age 29, in 1925. No children.

4. Josephine Danby, triplet, b. Nov. 24, 1895 in Newark, New Jersey; d. 1938; m. Walter Brooks in 1919. They had one child, Aimee Josephine Brooks; (she divorced Walter in 1922).

5. stillborn male, triplet, b. Nov. 24, 1895 in Newark, New Jersey.

Census information show Anna and Thomas living in New York City in their early marriage. By 1910, they were living in Mount Vernon, New York. In 1930, they were living in Bergen County, New Jersey.

Sometime after the death of her husband in 1931, Anna moved to Englewood, New Jersey, living with the Sherry family as a boarder on 474 Tenafly Road, as noted in the 1940 census.

Anna purchased the cemetery plot in Kensico when her mother died in 1916. She is listed as the owner of the lot 4822-6298 in Section 168.

She survived her husband by 14 years, living to the age of 87.

Anna was buried on Mar. 30, 1945.
