Mary Blaha Jakabosky was born June 4, 1843 and died Friday morning December 19, 1924, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 15 days.

She was married to Michael Jakabosky on Sept. 5, 1864. They moved to Kansas in 1877 and made Cuba their home for about twenty-eight years. Nine children were born to them, six girls and three boys, all of whom grew to manhood and womanhood. The husband preceded his wife in death about eight years ago and two daughters have also passed to the eternal rest.

She leaves three sons, Joe of Seibert, Colo,; Frank and Elmer of Cuba; four daughters, Emma Kasparek of Portland, Oregon; Katherine Hadachek of Sterling, Colo.; Christina Popham of Cherry Valley, Ill.; and Anna Carpenter of Cuba; thirty-four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. All of the children were here to attend the funeral with the exception of Emma and Joe who were unable to be present.

Funeral services were conducted at the home on Monday afternoon, Joseph Mottle officiating and interment made in the Kopsa cemetery.

Deceased had been in poor health for some time but bore her suffering with great patience to the last. She was ready to go when the Master called. But she is sadly missed by the loved ones she leaves behind.
