Micheal Jakabosky was born in Hamerla County, Bohemia September 30, 1830. He came to America in the year 1871, and married December 6, 1864 to Mary Blaha, to which union there were born nine children. In the year 1877 they came to Kansas and settled on a farm in Republic County, where they lived until the year 1895. They then moved to Cuba, where they have made their home, up to the present time.
He leaves his wife, 8 children: Mrs. Katherine Hadachek of Wymore, Mrs. Mary Smith of Sterling, Colo., Frank of Narka, Elmer of Belleville, Joseph of Munden, Mrs. Emma Kasparek of Brooks, Oregon, Mrs. Anna Carpenter of Cuba, Christina Popham of Cherry Valley, Ill., 26 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and one brother in Wisconsin.
Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday, January 23, conducted by Joseph Mottl. Interment was in the National Cemetery (Kopsa).
