Mrs. William Silas Keller, 72, long a resident of Janesville, suffered a fatal heart attack Friday morning at her home, 2026 S. Jackson St.
The former Mae C. Kettle, daughter of Neal and Julia Schumacher Kettle, was born in Janesville May 10, 1890. She was married to Silas Keller in Cargill Methodist Church by the Rev. J.H. Tippett July 4, 1908. Mr. Keller died Dec 24, 1962.
Mrs. Keller was a member of Cargill Methodist Churtch and of the Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are two sons, William of Janesville, and Lester, of Rte. 2, Edgerton; a daughter, Mrs. Henry Graff, Elgin, Ill.; four grandchildren; five-great-grandchildren; five brothers, George and Walter Kettle, Janesville, Corneal Kettle, Edgerton, Donald Kettle, Milton, and Ralph Kettle, Whitewater; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Vobian and Mrs. Godfrey Aegerter, both of Janesville. Three grandchildren predeceased her.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Overton Funeral Home, the Rev. Stephen Rankin, Cargill Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7 to 9.
