Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Monroe, 92, of Grayson, were held at 4 p.m. Monday at Riser & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Columbia with the Rev. Arlie Bratton and Dr. W. M. Causey officiating. Burial was in Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.
Mrs. Monroe died Sunday at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a lengthy illness.
Survivors include two sons, Bishop Monroe of Ruston and Hardy Monroe of Grayson; three daughters, Mrs. Irvin Joyner and Mrs. Margaret McGehee, both of Grayson and Mrs. Mable Hagens of Hawthorne, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Johnnie Monroe, a prominent citizen of Grayson for years, was a son and preceded her in death.
