J. W. Humphries, 70, died at his residence at Cheniere early last night.
He is survived by his wife; six children, Evan Humphries of Flatwood, Subrey Humphries of New Orleans, Mrs. Lucinda Lasyone of Bentley, Mrs. R. H. Powell, of Winnsboro, Ruvadolph Humphries, of Cheniere, and Miss Dorothy Humphries, also of Cheniere, and three brothers, one sister and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but burial will take place in the Welcome Home Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
