World War II veteran.

Paul F. Barone, 80, of West Ave., Dansville, died Thursday (Aug. 15, 1985) at Noyes Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Mt. Morris, he had been a resident of the Dansville area for many years. He retired as a mason in 1971 from Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea.

A veteran of World War II, he was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. He was a member of the Dansville Fish and Game Club and Daniel Goho American Legion Post.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Hall Barone; one son, Anthony of Dansville; two step-sons, Norbert and Roland Bernhardt of Mt. Morris; one stepdaughter, Sally Bucci of Florida; three sisters, Florence Mattison and Jennie Provino, both of Mt. Morris, and Mary Leta of Rochester; three brothers, Anthony and Joseph, both of Mt. Morris, and Carl of Rochester; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Monday. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. (Genesee County Express, August 22, 1985, p10)
