Alma C Nordtome Fuert, 99, of Kalispell, Montana,died at Immanuel Lutheran Home on Thursday evening, June 20, 1996. She was born in Kalispell on June 18, 1897 to Robert and Carrie Sneen Nordtome. She attended Kalispell area schools. In 1920, she moved to Spokane, Washington. She worked there for five years and then transferred to Portland, Oregon, and was employed at Pacific Telephone as a supervisor until 1940. She was transferred again to San Francisco, CA, during World War II in the overseas department as supervisor, then chief operator until 1950. When her husband retired, they moved to Oroville, CA. They built a home on their property. In 1928, she was married to Donald Feurt in Everett, WA, by the Rev. Elvigen, an old friend of many years. They lived in Oroville until Donald passed on in 1971. In 1974, Alma moved back home to be near her Montana relatives. She was preceded in death by two sisters Mida (Midge) Schmauch, Lena Phillips, and three brothers, Clarence, Andy, and Edward Nordtome. She is survived by two half-brothers Melford and Clifford Nordtome of Kalispell, and numerous nieces and nephews. She didn't have children. She resided at Immanuel Lutheran Home for the last six years. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the United Epworth Methodist Church with the Rev. Marvin Northcutt officiating. Urn burial at Glacier Memorial Gardens, Kalispell.
