Kathryn E. Fincham Shaw, daughter of William Fincham and Mary Ann Cobb Fincham, was born Sept. 13, 1892 at Blue Rapids, KS and passed away at Community Memorial Hospital, Marysville, KS. on March 26, 1969.
Her early life was spent in Blue Rapids, KS.
On Oct 12, 1921 she was united in marriage to James M. Shaw and to this union were born 2 children, Mary Beth Shaw and Howard Allen Shaw.
In 1944, she and her family moved from Blue Rapids, KS to Waterville, KS. She was a member of the Waterville United Methodist Church and enjoyed her Women's Society of Christian Service membership. She was a member of the Blue Rapids Eastern Star Lodge.
Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters and six brothers.
She is survived by her husband, James M. Shaw of the home; one daughter, Mary Beth Williams and husband Leroy of Liberty, MO; one son Howard Allen Shaw and wife Thelma of Topeka, KS.; 4 grandchildren, Carolyn Sue and husband, Robert A. Smith of Liberty, MO., Billie Gaye and husband Jerre Wichman of Kansas City, MO., Bruce James Shaw and Neal Allen Shaw of Topeka, KS.; and 2 great grandchildren; Tara Suzanne and Ward Allen Smith of Liberty, MO.
Funeral services were held March 28, 1969 at United Methodist Church, Waterville, KS. Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, rural Blue Rapids, KS.
