EVANS
Blanche C. Evans, 89, a former South Beloit resident, died Tuesday evening in Bloomer, WI.
She was born Nov. 27, 1897, in LaFayette County, WI, the daughter of Lewis Bredeson and Clara Hanson. She married Chris Evans on Jan. 12, 1920, in Darlington, WI.
The couple ran Beloit Cleaners for 40 years, until 1965. Mrs. Evans was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 228 in South Beloit.
Survivors include one daughter, Lenore (Mrs. Erwin) Jonas of Weyerhauser, WI; six grandchilden; three brothers, Glen of Argyle, WI, Sherman of Darlington, WI, and Archie of Monroe, WI. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and a son, John, a former Beloit postmaster, seven brothers and one sister.
Services will be at 1 P.M. Friday at the Floral Lawns Mausoleum Chapel, South Beloit. Burial will follow. Friends may call at the mausoleum chapel an hour prior to service time. Arrangements were made by the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, WI.
