Lillie was the seventh child and fourth daughter of Flora Ann (Brooks) Hill and Odus Grant Hill. She was born on January 1, 1910 probably on a farm in Reno County, Kansas around Partridge, Nickerson area. Lillie married JAN 07 1927 Ray William McGonigle. They lived on a farm somewhere in the Dodge City, western Kansas area. Lillie died of cancer on July 29, 1940. Donna Faye Lillie's daughter said Bessie Ann (Hill) Pitzer, visited them sometime before Lillie passed away. Donna tells me that three or four of Bessie's smaller children came with her. I (Phillip H. Pitzer) couldn't have been more than three years old and do not remember much about it. I do remember playing with some cousin's at a farm some where in western Kansas. Lillie and Ray had six children: Donna Faye McGonigle, Perry Algie McGonigle (1930-1992) twin of Harry Algie McGonigle, Raella Ray McGonigle (1938-1938), Chester Lee McGonigle, Carl Dean McGonigle.

Lillie's husband, Ray died September 24, 1972. They are both buried at the Salem Brethren Church, Cemetery, West of Nickerson, Kansas. Lillie is my Aunt from my mothers's side.
