An Addicks/AnstettFamily history, authored by her sister, Florene, gives Margarette the first name of Anna. Since Florene did not use her given first name, either, I've opted to list the names as written on the headstones.

Margarette was the third of six children. She spent her earlier years in Stroh, Indiana where her father manged a cement plant and her mother was a pianist for the church. Around 1914 they moved to Chunute, Kansas, for about a year then back to Indiana where they bought a farm. After selling the unprofitable farm, they moved to Kendalville, Indiana. After less than a year there, it was on to Ragland, Alabama. In 1924 they were off to Rockmart, GA where the cement company had a second plant and moved between Ragland and Rockmart until 1927 when a home was established in Rome, GA.

Margarette worked for the Rome News-Tribune. She met James Vernon Webb and they were married in Rome, GA on Nov. 19, 1932. They had two sons in Rome, GA. They moved to Atlanta and then to Washington, D.C. in 1943. After WW II, they moved to Nashville, TN. After her husband's retirement from the Soil Conservation Service, they bought his old family farm near Heflin, AL. They remodeled the home there and raised some cattle and ponies for a few years before returning to Nashville.
