Mrs. Elda E. Wagner, 70, of 1014 Fourth St., Kiel, died Thursday morning at Sheboygan Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
The former Elda Rabe, she was born July 23, 1916, in the town of Schleswig, daughter of the late August and Caroline Schnell Rabe. She attended Hillside Grove School in the town of Schleswig. On Oct 7, 1939 she married Francis Wagner at St. Nazianz. Mrs. Wagner was employed for a number of years at Munedowk Retreat Center, rural Kiel. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Gina) Daly of Manitowoc; a granddaughter; five brothers, Alfon, Fred, Elmer and Arno Rabe, all of Kiel; and Reuben Rabe of New Holstein; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Fluhr and Mrs. Florence Binversie, both of rural Kiel. A brother and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel. The Rev. Richard Warnke, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
