Andrew B. Giffin, s/o of John Giffin 1815-1870 and Margaret Jane Shaw 1822-1910. In 1869, the parents moved from Ohio Co., WV, to Lee's Summit, Jackson Co., Missouri. Andrew died of scarlet fever in 1870.

In 1884, Margaret moved to Blue Mound, Linn County, Kansas and lived there her remaining years.
