Soon after marriage he migrated to Centerview, Johnson County, MO., in the fall of 1868. Finding a small body of United Presbyterians at this place, he united at once with them, and the next year was elected an elder, and made teacher of a Bible class.
After residence fifteen years in Missouri he moved to Pawnee City, Nebraska, where for many years he continued his identity with the church of his fathers as an official and Bible teacher. He still lives in Pawnee City ( in 1926), both he and his wife having retired from active labor.
