Mary E Giffin, s/o of John Giffin 1815-1870 and Margaret Jane Shaw 1822-1910. Mary and her brother Andrew died on the same day. That must have been a very sad day, for the family.

In 1869, the parents moved from Ohio Co., WV, to Lee's Summit, Jackson Co., Missouri. Andrew dies of scarlet fever in 1870.

In 1884, Margaret moves to Blue Mound, Linn County, Kansas and lives there her remaining years.
