Rosa was born to the union of Daniel Austin Humphries and Julia A. Hudson, who married on December 8, 1858 in Caldwell Parish. Her mother died when she was a baby.

She married C. T. Leonard in Caldwell Parish on June 2, 1889. Perhaps he died soon thereafter, for their marriage did not last long.

On May 14, 1893, she married William L. Oser in Franklin Parish. He preceded her in death. From their marriage, she was survived by two sons, William Ludrick Oser and Henry N. Oser; and several grandchildren.

Note: Rosa's birth date is unknown--that on her gravestone is plainly wrong. The 1870 Census shows a Rosaline, age 3, living in the Humphries household. This being the first census she shows up in would put her birth around 1967. The year of death on her gravestone is most likely wrong as well, per the Louisiana statewide death index.
