MILL HALL – Mrs. May Bossert Brown, who would have observed her 63rd birthday on Wednesday, died Saturday, December 3, 1949, at her home near here following an illness of ten months. She was the wife of Allen H. Brown, who survives her.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Mill Hall, born here in 1886, the daughter of the late John and Minnie Holmes Bossert. She and Mr. Brown were married in July 1905, and they were the parents of the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Mary Keyser, Philadelphia; Mrs. Florence Corman, Bellefonte, PA; Mrs. Louise Richie, Castanea, PA; Allen H Brown Jr., Mill Hall, RD; John B Brown, Emporium, PA; Frank L. Brown, William M. Brown, Mrs. Jane Smith, Lock Haven, PA; and Anna Frances, at home; also 13 grandchildren.
She was survived by the following brothers and sisters: Miss Jane Bossert, Newark, NJ; John S Bossert and H. Jay Bossert, Avis, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Florence Grenard, Denver, Colorado; W. Brown Bossert, Mill Hall; and Clinton County Commissioner W. Max Bossert.
Mrs. Bossert was a member of the Mill Hall Presbyterian Church, Lamar Grange and the Clinton County Historical Society.
Funeral services were at her home with the Reverend George Virchick, Mill Hall Presbyterian Church pastor officiating.
