Margaret Hibshman Brown Waite was a resident of Half Moon Valley. She was born June 4, 1906 in Altoona, PA, a daughter of Allen Brown and Mary Bossert Brown. She was married to Gilbert C. Waite on June 8, 1927 at Lewisburg, PA. She was survived by her parents, her husband and three children; Beverly, Lois Ann and Gladys, all at home.

In addition, she was also survived by the following brothers and sisters; Allen Jr., Mill Hall, John, Emporium, Frank, Lock Haven, William, Mill Hall, Mrs. Henry Keyser, Ardmore, Mrs. Lynn Corman, Bellefonte, Mrs. Graden Richey, Castanea, Jane and Anna Frances at home.

Mrs. Waite was a member the Centre Line United Brethren Church and the Stormstown Grange. She was a graduate of Lock Haven High School.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gilbert C. Waite, who died suddenly March 7, 1943 at the Philipsburg State Hospital, were at her home in Port Matilda, RD, with the Reverend Joseph Weaver officiating.

Interment was at Grey’s Cemetery, Port Matilda.
