Anna Francis (Brown) Cruse , 93, 203 North Water Street, Mill Hall, died at her home March 24, 2020. She was born November 18, 1926 in Beech Creek Township. She was a daughter and youngest child of the late Allen Hibshman and Mary "May" Bossert Brown.
Anna was a retired teacher who began her career in a one room school house. She taught for 38 years teaching hundreds of children to read. Reading was her lifelong passion.
Mrs. Cruse was survived by four children: Liz A. Cruse, Mill Hall; Jane R. (Storres) Myers, Mackeyville; Mary A. Walker, Spring Hill, Florida; and Frank Cruse, III, Mill Hall;
two grandchildren; Angie Walker, Debary, Forida, and Tony (Jenna) Caruso, Frederick, Maryland; four Great Grandchildren: Olive, Max, Rocco and Frank Caruso; and many nieces and nephews.
Anna was the last of her generation having been predeceased by nine sisters and brothers: Margaret Waite; Mary Keyser; Florence Corman; Louise Richey; Allen Brown; John Brown; Lewis Brown; William Brown; and Jane Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Cruse, Jr. who died in 1970.
Mrs. Cruse was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
