Allen H. Brown Jr., 69, of Mill Hall RD 2, a retired farmer, died at Centre Community Hospital Monday, December 19, 1983.
He was born December 5, 1914, in Clinton County, a son Allen H. Sr. and Mae E. Bossert Brown. His wife, the former Patricia A. McLaughlin survived. They were married August 26, 1939.
Also surviving were a daughter, Sandra L. Watson, Milesburg; a brother, John Brown Emporium; five sisters: Mary Keyser, Orchard Hill, NJ; Florence Corman, Bellefonte RD; Louise Richey, Castanea; Jane Smith and Anna Cruse, both of Mill Hall and two grandchildren.
Mr Brown formerly taught school at Yarnell and Central City at Milesburg and retired as head teacher at the Wingate Elementary School.
Services were held at the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home in Howard with the Reverend John B. Brown Jr. officiating.
Burial was at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall RD.
