Final rites for L.H. Covington, 71, who died Saturday afternoon at his home near Walker, were held at the Vickers cemetery near Walker. The Rev. I.E. Adams officiated, and was assisted by the Rev. P.W. Sibley. Covington was a member of the Friendship Methodist church.
Covington is survived by seven children; three sons, Monroe of Baton Rouge, Sam of Walker and Berlin of the United States Army; four daughters, Mrs. C.C. Richardson of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Clay Sibley, Mrs. Doris Ballard and Miss Sula Covington, all of Walker; 12 brothers, eight sisters, and nine grandchildren.
