Mary Elizabeth Eckeroth married Matthias Keffer in 1781. She was about 30 years old at that time. (WK-page,583)
Submitter's note: I'm always curious why there were two Mary Elizabeth's in this family one called the "Elder" and one called the "Younger". There must be some mystery about this and I'm sure this has been debated before in the Eckroth family.
Update note: The last record for the person on this memorial is the Berwick Township Tax Assessment Roll of 1799, where the "Widow Keffer" was assessed a tax of $56. ("History of Cumberland and Adams Counties, Pennsylvania" Warner, Beers & Company, Chicago, Illinois, 1886, page 215, 217). The death date of 1810 in many genealogies comes from William E. Kirkpatrick's book "Eckroth-Eckenroth-Eckenrode Family" (Vol. 2 page 585) where he estimates her death between 1810 and 1820 in Berwick Township, present-day Adams County, Pennsylvania.
